I worked with Airbnb to create the neighborhood boundaries for New York City and 20 other cities across the United States. Extensive research, GIS analysis and precise line drawing went into capturing the definition of neighborhoods from a local's perspective.
The Gangs of New York: Who Rules Each Manhattan Zip Code
To determine who controls each of the borough’s nearly 50 ZIP codes, we combed the portfolios of Manhattan’s 20 largest owners and drafted a turf map of sorts. In cases where none of the 20 largest landlords owned office property, such as in the Lower East Side and parts of the West Village, no victor is listed.

I created luxury shopping maps geared towards Chinese visitors to the U.S. Elegance and sophistication and readability were the keys to these maps which are foldout maps found inside one of New York Observers imprints, Yue and Luo magazines.
With EwingCole Architects to create map artwork for SUNY Downstate Medical Center of some of the most beautiful places in New York City. Panels were 8 ft by 3 ft and landscape panels were also created. I was inspired by subway artwork mosaics and the exciting places of New York City as well as some of its peaceful refuges. The Environs Map Series is a living document of psychogeographic maps featuring photo collage, textures and illustrations that call to my mind the environs they depict.
